Title: 67 camaro converted from straight 6 to BB
Post by: Jbyer8 on August 13, 2014, 02:31:04 AM
Looking to purchase a 67 camaro. The vin indicates that it was originally built as straight 6. It has since been modified with a 396 engine, muncie 4 speed, 12 bolt Posi rear end, and 3 row radiator with electric fan.

Is there anything I should be leary about when dealing with this type of mod? Anything else that should have been changed or upgraded?

The BB also used a larger diameter fuel line and heavier duty springs in the front.
Being the mod was done already I assume things like transmission mount offset, engine mounts, etc are done properly. That's all bolt on parts anyhow.
I assume the 12 bolt doesn't have the traction bar perch and floor bracket. No big deal if it is not there.

Radius rod not needed if Cal-tracs or slapper bars used.
