Is there a way to get the Diverter Valve on a 69 Z rebuilt?

Not many in this business since ASL went out, Don was really good and reasonable. I still like to look through his old catalog -
Contact Bill Hodel @ 330-833-0871. This maybe the guy that Don sold his business/inventory to, still advertises in Hemmings.
Greenhoe's Corvette lists parts, but I don't know if he rebuilds or offers that as a service or not. Worth a shot -

Bill is a great guy and does top notch work. I bought my complete smog set-up from him a few months ago. Highly recommend!

Just curious but did your car come with a 4 blade fan? ???

Yes. The clutch fan (RPO K02) was included on cars with AC, 396/375 engines or Z28.

It does seem odd that a BB would have the 4 blade fan but if you didn't spring for the K02 option that's what came as standard.
It actually cools quite good. Always runs between 180-200 degrees.

I've seen several low horse 69 Big Blocks without clutch fan, hence the 4 blade standard fan. Just to affirm the fact.

I hate to stay off topic but is the big block 4 blade fan larger or have wider blades than the small block fan? I have one from a 65 Impala and it has wider blades. Curious.
I need some smog stuff rebuilt too! Thanks!

Both of my '67 L35 (396/325) have the fixed blade fan. Yes, at idle the temperature gauge would creep up but still stay within the 'safe' zone of the numberless gauge.
The '67 L78 had the clutch fan.

My 69 X66 convertible born with drive train has the four blade fan.

Might explain why prices escalated sharply after Don moved on. He had priced things affordably, great quality, good work and attention to detail. Whatever the blow up was, it sure changed things. My guess is the same as your statement - he didn't turn loose of everything (he was one of the first or the first to offer the white fans for pumps, which are still around through a lot of vendors). Systems were complete right down to hoses, bolts and gaskets, dated/part numbered for around $895.00 originally, if I remember correctly (been a few years !).

Don went through a VERY drawn-out and difficult divorce, and had to start over from scratch.
