Title: '68 Camaro 6 on Ebay bid over $20k
Post by: 68SixBangerRS on June 11, 2014, 07:33:38 PM
Maybe there's hope for lowly 6 cylinder Camaros yet.  Here's one with a claimed 44k miles, 230 base engine and 3-on-the-tree that's been bid to over $20k.  There are a couple of nice Youtube links that show what a well-tuned 6 sounds like (a little-old-lady car immediately comes to mind  :D ).  I keep thinking that one of these days these cars will actually be appreciated and sought after.  This is the level of restoration I hope to achieve with my RS.

Nice!  The valve cover clamps are much much longer than the ones on my '67.

The clamps are wrong (should be Wittek), plug wires are wrong, valve cover hold downs are wrong, coil should be a Delco "208", oil filter should be an AC PF29, oil fill cap should be Chevy orange...anything else? Don't get me wrong...this is a damned nice car (and it hasn't been aborted into yet another V8).

Everything on the block was shot orange, including the valve cover holddowns.

Next time, can you include the ebay link? ;)
