Here is a picture of the rear axle stamp, tried to make the stamping as visible as possible with lighting. Looks like PJ code + 1012 G with E underneath, which is 68 3.73 posi, BUT the casting date on the 3894860 center section is J 7 8 . This would be cast in October 68. Car is a 12A 69 Camaro, could this be correct?

Looks like J 7 6 to me. Can you post a picture of the spring perch?

I think it's a 67 axle too.

Is the filler plug 3/4" or 1"

Pretty sure the perches are "filled" with the springs so its the deeper multileaf perches, Ill get some more pictures this weekend, and measure the plug. The last digit of the casting date in person is definitely an 8 , so the year cast is 1968 , no? October 7th 1968 and tube date is october 12 th, which works.
What does the filler plug size tell us ?

There's no definite when it comes to cast 6's and 8's and 9's. They can all look the same.
PJ is a 10 bolt in 69. So it can't be that.
Perches can also be changed.

Just for comparison.
