Title: carb linkage to carb hookup
Post by: cam69aro on June 02, 2014, 10:47:12 PM
i got my carb installed on my dz but was wondering what hole the linkage went through. i have never had the original carb on the car yet, just an out of the box 750cfm auto parts store carb. i searched  but could not find a good close up pic of the proper hole to locate it into. aslo wondering if the is a nylon washer and what goes into the linkage hole to hold the rod to the linkage. thanks in advance for any info. oh, will post some pics when it is done, had Jerry M restore it a few months back.

goes in the small hole in front of large hole. Uses a cir-clip or C-clip to hold rod onto carb.

I think it's an "E" clip.

This pic should help. I put a small washer on the backside of the lever to tighten up the slop where the rod goes thru.

thanks for the info guys and the pic Gary, i found a perfect size thick rubber washer then put a thin metal washer on and the fit is nice, no slop. i will post a pic later in the week. i got the carb on, the repo vacuum line kit on, just need to do the repo battery cables and the cooling hoses. rad and heater hoses with repo tower clamps. should be done by wednesday night  :)
