I agree. Looks pretty good considering the corrosion around it.  Which brings up a question I have. If there is that much corrosion surrounding a tag, is the corrosion that bad behind the tag? With all the GM cars I've been a part of parting out Ive never removed any tags to see, but then again removing tags weren't even a thought.

How about the rest of the car/firewall ?

Tag looks legit, as do the rivets and age/patina. If this area is that rusted, the remainder must be pretty rough as well. At least it's a coupe -

Regards

This Z-10 was a roller when I got it (no eng. trans) Needs both full quarters and some skin grafts in windshield area.  Has 12bolt rearend and front discs. I think its real deal. Have other projects ahead, 1 is solid axle Vette  and other 1st gen Camaros   All it takes is time and money  right?

Dad always said it was 3 ingredients, you named two. ENERGY is the third and that is in short supply as I age unfortunately.  You owe us some more pics though!! :P

I believe that an unknown (to me) Z10. Cool, don't see very many new ones.
I assume it was a small block? auto? AC?
I'd be curious on the axle code and the VIN.

I assume you've seen the Z10 article?

Thanks!
