The 5B is for the V32 Large rear bumper gaurd, the 5O is for seat belt delete, this one is an overseas only option. The -31B is an FSO number, basically a special order number that required corporate approval, had non standard parts (COPO) or was part of a fleet order. It was part of the 31st FSO order for that year. The B may indicate the car was part of a second order of FSO 31, or it may be the second car (B car) of a single order.

Thanks mark
For the 5 BO , i know because my 67 has the same code ...most of french camaro where largely optionned and most with 5BO..
But that s the first time i see the fso code ..

Mark if 5 B is rear guards only, what group number and letter is front guards?
-
No Trim tag code for front guards, as Fisher wouldn't have installed them and didn't have to do anything different related to the body tub to install them. GM installed everything forward of the firewall on their side of the plant.

Thanks Mark very informative. Learned something new.

F&SO - Fleet and Special Order
Involved a change to the normal process, most often special paint instructions.
It did not involve the COPO system.
Interesting. I haven't seen that on an export car before.
It is an SS and not a L30/M20?
Can you email me the VIN? :)

I Kurts
it's a SS with a 350 L48 engine i ask for the VIN
