In confirming that my '68 (build Nov '67) SS/RS would have had the D91 stripe, I came across this article on SuperChevy.com. I'm not sure where they got all their info nor if their measurements are 100% but it may help others trying to repaint their stripes.

I've never seen the L48 stripes (side AND deck / AIM pages 295/296) on a Camaro. Has anyone else?

That version of the 68 stripe was never installed on a Camaro, it was discontinued before it went into production and replaced with the D90 stripe. All of the 68 d90 hood/side stripes ended a few inches forward of the back edge of the door. The entire section on the valance panel and the section infront of the wheel wells were painted on, the rear section behind the wheelwell, and on the doors were tape.

I wouldn't trust their measurements.
Here's all the various stripes.

Hey Ue,
Sounds like you have the same gen as my 68 RS/SS with the D91 stripe... Can you tell me how far your Engine displacement emblems are from the nose of the fender? I've been battleing this for awhile... See my thread below... Thanks in advance for your response. Ed

I would love to Ed but my front sheet metal has been replaced and there are no badge holes in guards or nose cone. I was going to get a stencil from classic Industries when I pull it off the road this winter (Australia time)

Call Bob Harris at Camaro Specialties. Ordered my stencil kit from him ( and other misc..) Nice to talk to the owner and not an operator looking up part numbers. Knows these cars.
