Title: Original Carb Finish
Post by: bcmiller on March 29, 2014, 04:51:23 PM
I picked up this carburator the other day.  It is a 7028210 EE carb dated 3627 (362nd day of 1967) for 1968 396/325 hp automatic.

The carb was a GM donated carb for Education purposes, so it saw no use.  It has been slightly modified for teaching purposes and also I assume to disable it from just being taken and bolted onto a car for use.  Also has a sticker on it that says "DONATED BY GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES".

See these images and I will try to post more later.  They are good references for what an assembly line part looked like.

One more.  Looks like it was donated in 1969.

I will see about taking the top off the carb in the next few days and try to post some more pics.

I started to take the top of the carb off, then changed my mind.  Did try to take a few pics of the inside though.
