Many of you know we are restoring a 68 Z/28 that had the air cowl plenum. Since I could not correctly utilize the smog set up with that set up I decided to purchase the repro Kustom Headers but not sure what would be deemed correct for the hardware (bolts, washers, nuts) to attach the alternator bracket to the repro Kustom Header bracket. I was hoping someone here has a similar set up and has had the car judged. I was going to use a shouldered phosphate bolt and combination lock washer and nut.

That's what I used on my headers. I had to use a washer or two behind the bracket to get the alternator pulley in line with the others.

Thanks as that seems the best scenario but was hoping I could find out what if anything came in the header package hardware related. Contacted JerryM hoping to get info from his 68 Survivor with headers but no luck.

thanks, what I deduce my Z had the Kustoms ( per #1 owner and must have gotten changed out for the Hookers that were on it when purchased in 76 up until now)Luckily I still have the original exhaust , manifolds to tail pipes. Very good condition which verifies it was dropped early in the life of the car. I'm on the fence with getting a pair of the reproductions. I know fit and finish is A-1, done my homework. Bottom line for me is if a pair were once on it, I'll splurge.
