Title: Powerglide
Post by: dalekerr on January 10, 2014, 10:46:03 PM
Still working out a few bugs on my 68 RS SS. At what speed should the powerglide transmission shift from low to drive. It currently shifts at around 45mph with a little help from my foot on the throttle.

Too high and should shift on its own.
There is a chart in the 68 Chassis Service Manual.

Thanks I will back it off some more. After restoration and changing the carb. it was shifting at 5 mph, I've over adjusted.

The Powerglide linkage adjustment procedure is shown in the Chassis Service Manual and in the Assembly Manual.
