Title: GM Rochester Products keys verse GM Briggs & Stratton Keys
Post by: 67conv6cyl on January 05, 2014, 06:50:11 PM
Anybody know when they switched from Rochester products keys to Briggs & Stratton keys in 67? Or did they use both suppliers at random? I have seen both.

My 67 4B LOS keys are original and still have the knockouts intact as well as the key codes stamped in them.
The primary A key is RP and the secondary B key is B&S.
This like may explain more: http://www.camaros.org/keysandlocks.shtml#blank

It looks like you can have either brand.

My 07E 68 has both RP and B&S (with knock outs)  ..one of each. Wish I had all (4) keys to see if the other set was a match. I found the RP  under the drivers seat, under the carpet wedged in the seat reinforcing area. Go figure.  The Briggs fell out the body plug hole after pulling the orig carpet & parking in my friends driveway ...bet it was under the seat too. Lucky to have both!
