Title: L78/L89 Intake Manifold Gasket
Post by: blackss69 on November 03, 2013, 09:01:52 PM
What is the best intake manifold gasket for a stock L78/L89 that has a blocked heat passage.?  I looked up and maybe Felpro 1211 with stock size ports or Victor Reinz has a nitroseal with the stock size ports.

Thanks

I use MR gasket 108. Trim the outside with a razor knife when assembled. The 1211 has a larger port openingbthan I like. Jeff

Paragon Reproductions makes a perfect replacement, GM part #3955527.   This is what we use for the engines we rebuild here at CHP/

Same thing for SBC manifold gaskets. I utilize Paragon (Corvette specialist) for many restoration items as they and other Corvette supply houses are in tune with NCRS restoration needs.
