:P Does anyone know of a vendor that sells the rubber boot that goes on the oil sending unit for the idiot light? No junkyards even now will let be buy just that wire and break the harness up, and I can't find a boot anywhere outside of buying a whole new harness, which don't need. :'( Any tips would be greatly apppreciated 8). Thanks.

... I'm sure there are vendors out there making these boots, ...but I'm not sure who.
A suggestion might be to post your request on a site like Team Camaro (on CRG as well) or email one of these ebay sellers that sell a lot of 1st gen parts, ...they may have a cut up harness that the boot is still attached to. There is an ebay seller ("junkman60"), ...first name Mark (located in NJ) that I see at Carlisle all the time. Nothing but 1st gen stuff. My dealings with him have been fine, ...maybe someone like this might have what your looking for, ...and might be willing to help out.
...just a thought...

Is this the beast you are looking for ::)?
Over the years, I've pulled a few wiring harnesses out of Camaros along with a variety of bolts, and misc pieces, etc. This harness is one that I've removed connectors from in the past, so it is no big deal to cut the wire back as far as you'd like.
This is the oil pressure switch wire from a '69 Camaro engine harness - wire color is purple or dark blue.

That's my beast, Rich!, although my '68 wire is blue. No matter, the boot is the same and it's no sweat to change it over to my harness. "Talk to me, my boy," as Jerry Reed said to Burt Reynolds in Smokey and The Bandit. If you want to sell it, email me at rusticman46@aol.com with the details. It's nit-picking stuff like this that drives you nuts until you meet another Camaro nut with what you need to keep our cars going. Thanks, bud!

Just sent you an e-mail. If you don't get it for some reason, post back here and we'll try again.
Ah yes - 1977, Smokey and the Bandit. Jerry Reed, Burt Reynolds, Sally Field and, of course, Fred, the bassett hound.

Didn't get the email, Rich. You probably already know, but just click on the link above. Thanks.

OK Rusticman - tried again, this time from the home e-mail account. Also, if you click on the envelope on the left under the very small pic of my car, you'll get my e-mail address if all else fails.

Dang, Rich, I tried the envelope but the email came back as undeliverable. You must have one heckuva firewall!
