Title: VIN # and Trim Tag Build Date
Post by: basecoupe#79 on November 09, 2005, 11:28:42 PM
What would a 69 Camaro Trim Tag Build Month Be With A VIN Starting With 682 ?  CRG Data States That This Should Be A Sep 69 Build. Correct?  Would The Trim Tag Be 09 ABC or D ???

Thanks

John

Sorry, I dont have all the info.  There was a Fathom Green Z on E-Pay yesterday, which ended. And I did not keep it on my watch list. The Cowl tag build date showed 09C, which I think should be a Sep 68 Build.  Correct?  But the VIN started with 682XXX.  The VIN # tells me it should have been built in Sep 69 Right?  I'm just trying to get smart.

Thanks

John

I'd have to see all the #'s, but from that limited info, it looks like something's not right.

An 09C build date with a 682xxx VIN number is a Sept 1969 Car.

An 09C build date with a VIN approx 510xxx is Sept 1968.

Remember they built these 1969 cars from Aug 1968 until Nov 1969

Did the car have an X code? If so then it's a legit Sept 69 car.

No X code and a VIN of 682xxx then don't buy it.
