Title: Bumper Jack ratchet color
Post by: camaroman1969 on October 04, 2013, 11:18:20 PM
Hey all you Camaro guru's, I have a question.  Does anyone know what color a bumper jack ratchet is suppose to be???  Some say
medium gray, some say black.  Jack would be for a 1969 Camaro SS/RS   Thanks guys!  Don

I'm not sure if black or gray, but I finally found a dated one for my 69Z and it was restored with gray paint. Whether or not it is correct someone else with a known original to their car should say something.

My original Endura jack is gray. All of mine are the same, but the X77 Z is the only one that I am sure is original to the car. Original VE3 hook is with it (an awful Ford blue color). Should have painted them Federal Safety Yellow for Warning Not-to-Use purposes -

Regards,
Steve

I think that's Detroit Diesel blue if that makes you feel any better. The ratchet & the base is light/medium grey on all the 1969 Camaro jacks. Grey hook for chrome bumper & blue for VE3, special bumper....Joe
