Is it just me and my PC or is the camaros.net site toast. A couple of days ago the site said the server was too busy and now it just does not come up at all. http://www.camaros.net ???
-
It was down for a few hours a few nights ago, but it's been fine since.
-
So if you hit the link in my first post you get the site? cause all I get is "the page cannot be displayed"
-
yep, the link you posted works for me.
-
...link works for me too :)

.... me too

well I've tried everything from checking my settings to different search engines. I would appreaciate if someone could inquire about this to the site administrator to see if somehow I have been banned from the site by accident. My profile name is johnny67, and email is johnnyscamaro396@msn.com ???

I seriously doubt youve been banned. Its not easily done there, and I would think you'd get at least a warning first. I'm pretty sure you would know.
I just checked your TC profile, and you're fine.
Try this link: http://www.camaros.net/forums/
If not, might wanna try clearing the history and cookies on your computer.

Johnny,
The same thing happened for some folks with this site several months ago. In a few cases it took several days to get back on. In fact, for about 2 hours last night I couldn't connect with CRG. Contrary to popular belief, most web sites do not have an endless capacity, and sometimes they are down for maintenance. Even large corporate sites like utility companies experience slow response periods. RamAirDave gave you the best advice. Clear everything out and start from scratch with your link. Beyond that be patient. If everything else connects with your computer, it's probably not you.
Come to think of it, on really hot days some 50s and 60s cars had this "mysterious" starting problem. After they had been driven for several hours, if you turned them off and then tried to start them right back up, they wouldn't start. Some owners spend big bucks on new starters, batteries, etc; but the problem still persisted. I knew a shade tree mechanic who gave the best advice, "Wait five minutes and see what happens."

I'd check with your ISP first - their server may not be able to resolve the DNS for camaros.net for some reason.
-
I cleared the history and cookies. I called the ISP guy and unhooked my router.
I still can't get the site to come up. Should I check my firewall or something like that?
??? ???

I can now access the site! I am not sure why I can after 2 weeks, but thanks for all the advice and help.
;D

Try going to your Internet Options through Internet Explorer or the ControlPanel and delete your history and cookies, this should help resolve the problem if there is one.

I tried all that stuff. The reason I found out was that there were some hackers in my area that were up to no good. So camaros.net cut off a bunch of IP addresses and I got caught up in it somehow. Everything is good now and I am back at it over there. Thanks for havin' me here, and helpin me out.

oh boy.... are you in manitoba or south dakota or somewhere like that?
Sorry you got caught up in that.
