I live there. It's supposed to rain this weekend, storm coming up the coast. then clear for the week. Make sure you get some of Nicko's pizza just across the walkway from the Giant Center.

I'll check out Nicko's! Other good places to eat?
I'll PM you when I get there on Wednesday and we'll figure out how we can link up. I know I've got to rub elbows with some of the Hershey big wigs on Thursday evening for HNR. I've got a couple of glass bottles of Peerless Oil that I want to show our buddy, Steve M.

You mean Peerless Motortone? Red juice in a clear bottle with a gold label? Are you serious? He and I happened to be at the same auction, and he got stuck with a case of that stuff and gave it to me. I give it to everyone that visits my shop that owns an old car for their display case. If I can figure out how I'll pm you a cell number. It's not on much but will be this week. BTW, it's really raining, supposed to clear out tonight. doug

Yes, that's it. Did he ever figure our how old it was??? A few years back he was trying to check it out on the AACA forum. Nobody seemed to know much about it....
We'll try and drain some of those clouds here in NC before they get up to you.
I've heard all those war stories about when it rains at Hershey....
Got the number! Thanks!
-
I'll probably drive the '69 Pace car back & forth from Lancaster each day - park it in G55. Gotta love AACA & Fall Hershey!

Great! I'll make a point of stopping by.
Now, if that rain just keeps moving toward the coast....

Weather is perfect today, don't be scared. Get on the road. Chance of light rain Wed. or Thur. they can't make up their minds.
-
Wash out... :'( :'( :'(
Hope there is something to judge tomorrow!
Doug is hanging in there.

We packed up Wed. evening due to the weather report and glad we did. Over 4" of rain yesterday (some areas 6") and its still raining cats and dogs. Low lying flooding, etc. What a mess! I help a friend in his 80's who has been going there since 1963. Always some nice cars for sale at Hershey as well and noted several of the nice ones were sold on Wednesday.
-
STILL raining cats and dogs. Hope it clears for the show tommorow. Good talking to you Phil, sorry we couldn't get together.

Same here.

A little sunshine. Show is happening.

Saturday was a fabulous day, weather was perfect and show field held up quite well. Took the grandkids to the AACA musuem on Friday, I'm sure it was record attendance day for them. Another great Hershey is in the books!

Indeed! My CRG raised several questions. Hope we see some of those folks here soon...
-
exactly what i was thinking. That shirt is going to be a great conversation starter, and bring more of us together...Awesome job Steve! (and Ms. Steve) :D

Saturday was great! Got first senior in class 36G. Enjoyed visiting with several of you. I wasn't at the show at all on Friday. Had "flood watch" at my daughter & son-in-law's home in Lancaster! They have a little farm with a stream running through it. The second picture shows a footbridge over the stream - the water is normally 6 feet under the bottom of the bridge.
-
OOPS!!! sorry that they posted upside down - but you get the idea!
-
Bergy,
What color was your car? I walked by 36G early on Saturday.
-
Fixed your pics.
-
Thats a lot of water! Hey Bergy how about a pic of your car at the show?
-
9.4 inches on the show field that week!
Most of it fell on my space on Thursday and Friday...
-
Thanks Kurt! My car was in 36B. Sorry, but I didn't take pictures. My daughter and grand daughter were with me - it was a great day.
-
Not me or my car, but I did see this one on the very rainy Friday. It was dry on Saturday...
-
AT the Vintage Chevrolet club tent? Who's Ralley Green Yenco was on the showfield? A college buddy back in '69 had a twin to it. Only Yenco I've ever ridden in.
-
Looks very clean, even in the stormy weather. thanks Phillip

I saw it on the field, as well. When the judging results come out, I'll look it up. Sorry, I didn't save my initial field list.
-
Doug,
Two questions:
So, did you not bring your 17A car to the field?
Did you ever figure anything out about the Peerless Motortone? Approximate year? Value?
Phillip
-
Yes, because I brought the grandkids we were maybe the last on the field. You were probably already judgeing by then. As a do not judge I just wanted to be there. As to the Peerless I'm guessing '30's by the label. And value? I give a bottle to everyone that visits my shop for their display shelf. DOn't go by me though. Many years ago I bought several cases of Oilzum motor oil at an auction. I used it for general purpose lubricating and gave several cans away not realiseing what they were worth.
