Post by: DT on September 28, 2013, 08:09:39 PM
Anyone know what the correct GM part# is for a 69 (Rosewood) 4 speed shifter console plate??  There appears to be 2 different part #'s ? ??? 3921801 and 3949537

Checked the 2 original plates I have, the part number cast on on them is #3949537.

Donny, the 69 AIM shows that plate as part # 3949537 (UPC D55, sheet A4). I believe 3921801 is the 1968 part number for the same item, so would have the simulated walnut woodgrain.

OK, thank you guys.  I actually thought # 3921800 was for a 68 ?  Hmmmm.

Is it possible the 69 3-speed plate has a different number?

Nope. Both 3 and 4-speeds used the same plate, as shown in the Assembly Manual; they just used different shift pattern emblems.
