I have a 68 Muncie M20 and the cover bolts all have a letter L on the head seems to be common, the taillhousing bolts seems to be marked SBC

may look at this thread I was trying to determine what was original for my car

Going to put the name and number out there who did my M21 last summer. Restores, rebuilds and date codes. Wonderful work. Guarantees for life " unless you throw slicks on and screw it up at Norwalk ,than your #$$#ed" (quote)---he also restored and set up the Hurst.  N/E Ohio   440-409-9620    Steve
