Title: 68 Camaro Center Rear Bumper Bracket Grommet
Post by: 68rs327conv on September 21, 2013, 02:43:29 AM
Any suggestions on where I can get the rubber grommet for the center rear bumper bracket on a 68 camaro.  The license lamp wire goes thru the bumper bracket which has a rubber grommet.

It is GM 1367472 and is listed in the AIM on page 172 UPC12 C4 Rear License Lamp.

A source for a used one would be great also

Any help is greatly appreciated

Mike

Have you tried AMK?

Yes, not listed in their catalog or online.  It is a 1" diameter hole, I picked up a rubber grommet from Lowes which I will try and should keep the wire from rubbing on the bracket, but prefer original if possible.

My 68 had a plastic grommet in this hole.  Not sure where to get one.

I agree with jeff68, my '67 also had the plastic grommet.  These are usually not in bad shape, in kind of a well protected area.
