Title: Cragar SBC Headers
Post by: opelitis1 on August 03, 2013, 06:24:31 PM
Were these at one time or another considered a decent header and, why did Cragar branch out into the exhaust business?

Good questions.....no answers, but I do have set of them hanging in my storage that I bought in 1974.  Maybe they will be worth a mint someday ::)

Their ad stated they were an equal length header so yes they were a cut above the generic convenience-fit header.
Cragar went into making headers and exhaust systems to make a buck. They must have felt there was an opportunity
there for them. Cragar made stuff like blower manifolds, engine/transmission adaptors, steering wheels, fuel pump
block-off plates and fuel line blocks, besides their various wheels. Headers were another just another addition to
the product line, which did not ultimately work out long term.
