Just wondering about the significance of the two holes in the side of the arm. My original 68 arms don't have them.
The arm is supposedly NOS 69 camaro.
Also, the shape of the support bar is different, the loose one in the pic is of my 68. The one attached to the arm has a number cast into it, which as best as I can make out reads 381904.
Is that a 69 casting number?
Is the loose one the correct shape for 68?

I think the two holes are for mounting a clip to hold the brake flex hose used in 69.
-
Correct on the two holes. They're to mount the clip on the front disc brake flexible line. Every stock Camaro I've ever taken apart had the cross shafts like the loose one. I've never seen one of the others.

Is that a rubber bump stop in the middle of the control arm in the top picture? If so it's not from a Camaro.
-
Camaro has a rubber bump stop in the upper control arm The Abodies have the bump stop on the frame.
The cross shaft in the control arm is a replacement, the original is the loose one.

Thanks for the replies :)

So replacement shafts came from a different foundry?
The other odd thing is that the rubber bump is not a 'push-in' type, it has a thread and nut holding it in, like the bump on the lower arm.
Is a bolted in upper bump correct for 69?

Never seen one attached that way. They're all "push in."

The replacement cross shaft looks like (or at least very similar) those that come in new PST front suspension kits. They may be included in/from others, I dont know for sure.
The upper bump stop should be a push in type.

Agreed
Here's a pic of the bump, must be from some other car as it's a poor fit in the hole [way too small]

Here's a close up of the numbers on the odd shaft, reads 381904 GM 40

Looks like a pinion bumper.
