Hi everyone,
I was wondering about 68 deluxe parchment interior; My questions concern a Grotto Blue convertible; First would the dash (around the gauges glove box door area; not the top by the VIN) be Grotto blue like the body? or black? How about the dash pad? I know the seats, door panels, and rear arm rest area would be parchment but what carpet would it have blue or black? Last what color would the steering column be?
Thanks

I wouldn't bet my life on it but I think Black was default with Parchment.

Yep. All the hardware was black. The only thing that was white (parchment) were the seats and the door panels.

Ed some 68 hard tops had the w/s pillar post white and the windlace that runs along the edge of the headliner along with the rear window trin white. I know he asked about a convt. Being there were two white int's. in 68 maybe the pearl one was different than the ivory when it come to the pieces I'm talking about

My posts where black. As Ed stated, seats and panels were white. Window crank knobs were also white on mine. Car is 04D
Now that I think about it, seems like some of the trim/lace around the headliner was white as well. I'd have to dig through my boxes to be sure about that though.

I've never seen that. Have any photos? That would look odd.

It does look odd next to a black headliner. I believe the front headliner trim is also white

I'll try to see if I have pictures of mine before I took it a part. The thing that I remember most, was thinking this "white" was going to be a pain to replace, compared to if it was black.
Seems like there's a book out there that references that parchment had the white, while the ivory had the black trim. I'll dig through my references and see if I can find it.

my sequoia green 68 with parchment interior has white windlace, white posts, black dash pad, black dash and glove box. the car is nearly all original.
