Title: 715 Interior restoration questions
Post by: 69Z28freak on July 09, 2013, 02:59:23 AM
I have been trying to decide which way to go with my interior. I have a 715 Dark Blue Standard interior. I would like to freshen up my original Kick Panels, Console and seat backs. The seat backs are starting to crumble at bit at the top corners and I have thought of replacing them, but I read that the fit is really bad. I am wondering if I can paint them successfully. I have read different opinions on which products to use. I have checked with SEM and also Heart Beat City. They both list Interior dye and paint.

I would like to know what is the best way to duplicate the original colour as well as get an original finish.

I bought replacements and they fit great for me. I would use them again. I also bought the kick panels and console. They were black and I did paint those and the paint I used came from HeartBeat City. I washed it down with grease and wax remover then painted. Several light coats and that way you don't fill in the texture.
