Title: Space saver tire?
Post by: sixt9x33rs on June 21, 2013, 03:17:07 PM
My 69 Convertible has a Space Saver and the inflator canister. Is there a way to tell if the car came with this from the factory? I don't have an original window sticker.

Thanks

Lawrence

Post a picture of the tire and the canister. Also post a picture of your tire pressure sticker. We might be able to tell if it's "original" from those.

Lawrence, I'm no expert on the space saver stuff, but I believe (and I could be wrong) that you have a mid to late 70's setup. I've asked the other CRG members to weigh in, so let's see what Troy or Jerry have to say.

Ed, that was my take away too when I read what I thought was the date code of the wheel. If I was reading it right. My trunk pan does not have the jack support as shown in the AIM as shown on the N65 sheet. I have never seen a jack support as shown in the AIM though.

Thanks
