Title: 67 Camaro Engin Identification
Post by: mattman67 on May 14, 2013, 07:30:39 PM
Hello, I am trying to ID the motor in my 67 Camaro. I was told that it is not the original motor, but want to make sure. Attached are some numbers from the side of the motor. Please help! Thanks!

Matt, welcome to the site. The numbers you posted are casting numbers and aren't really of any help. You need to see what the engine suffix code is to be able to tell if it's the original engine or not. You have a 6 cylinder car, so there won't be a partial VIN stamped on the pad, but look at THIS PICTURE (http://www.camaros.org/images/pages/decoding/1967-69_L6engine_stamp_location.jpg) and tell us what the suffix code is.
