Hey guys, I wanted to know more about the membership of over 4000 people and see what types of Camaros are inspiring the debate, conversations and continued research that fuels the interest and growth in this great site. This poll isn't meant to intrude and make public which owner has which car, but just let all of us know the percentage of each year Camaro that make up all of our members cars. The more guys that participate the more accurate picture of our collective of Camaros.
This is the 1st poll !
I would like conduct more polls to break down the information further and know for example : out of all the 1967 Camaro owners on this site how many of those Camaros are a plain jane or RS or SS or RS/SS, and Z/28, possibly Yenko or baldwin motion. You get the idea here

Mickey I think that's a great Idea. need all the Camaros we can get. I owned a couple of those Z/28 IROC Camaros. Had a coupe and a vert. Loved both of them. So did somebody else. One got stole out of my brother's driveway while we were gone to eat supper and the other got stole at a concert.

I would not give up my '69 now that I have one, and I wanted one for the last 30 years, but I wish I still had my 3rd gen too.

Yes I saw it but since I have a '69 I voted for my '69. I just wished I still had my '84 Z/28 too.

Hey guys great starting point. Might be a good idea to have marked the poll first gens only since this is a first gens only website, but just by virtue of what's listed it's obvious. Is this based on what we currently own only? I have owned a 69 SS350 from 74 to 79 and would still have it if I didn't get orders to go to the UK when I was in the USAF. Also had a 79 Z28 350 4speed in 95 IF we are counting them in the poll.

Yup, me too
1976 Camaro, new, right out of college (no longer in the stable)
1969 RS, Purchased used, Nov 1991 - car I still have
1995 Z28, new in Jan 1995 (no longer in the stable - trade in on the 2011 ss)
2011 SS, new in April 2011, factory order, 2SS, special red jewel paint, quarter flares, Hurst short throw shifter, manual 6 speed, body color engine coil cover, optional updated trunk cargo and floor mats

You know that is a good point I did not factor in multiples of the same year. My original idea was just to see what years and models are represented by our members, so the next poll which will cover 67 I will factor that in so you can vote for each of your cars. thanks for the input

I remind myself every day how fortunate I am to own both a 68 and a 69 Camaro. However, my first Camaro was a 79 Z28 which I loved. I bought it in 1992 when the 69 convertible I was after got sold. I just sold that 79 last month....April 22 would have been 21 years.

perhaps another poll would be how many have one running and get to enjoy their car. I have three garage companions that are in various stages of disrepair. I know I should sell 2 and concentrate on one, but it is a sickness. I love all of them,each one is different(options). I could be talked out of the SS L48 project I have had since 79 though. I'll add, Happy Birthday to my 3E X11Nor that was ,according to vin, probably completed the 1st week of April and is only running one of the bunch currently.

Here is a list at team camaro of 68Z's ownership. I started a thread a couple years ago and know some have been sold off, etc. but was a sizeable list of 68 Z/28's. And of course quite a few team camaro members are CRG members. I know of one CRG member who has a 01C 68Z as his engine was built the same day as ours, 12/21/67

hopefully a lot of those guys are CRG members or can sign up and join so they can contribute to our poll. I think it would be great to 40 guys to our membership or waken them from their slumber to post on here. I think jerry would be one of the few who owns all three years, although I don't think I have ever seen any mention of a 69...? anyone know if he has one in his stable?

My initial feeling with the displayed above list is this would turn up even for non CRG members if would be counterfeiters were to do a Google search to research 68 Z body number vs. assembly date ranges. I'm sure they would even be so bold as to stamp an already issued body number on a fake tag which would go undetected unless a query would come through here or the original owner spotted it on a car.
That's just me though. ;)

Another model I would like to add to the collection is the new 2013 1LE Camaro parked right next to the '69.

The Z/28 is going to be a great car. But for the price, a 1LE can't be beat. If the price is going to be more than the ZL1 like they say, I would just get a Corvette instead if I had that kind of $.

you know Randy duing that time period there was a strilke among the foundry's and Norwood had to shud down. I thought you were 01c but sorry abourt that........

Bought my first car at age 15 a 67 4P Camaro in 1972. Sold it about 1977. Bought my second one in 1995 a 67 4K and still have it.

I bought a 69 307 plain jane Camaro back in 1987 for $150 ;D ... Sold it about 2 years later for $2500 :-[ .... needless to say BIG MISTAKE!!! :( :o

I am sure your not the first nor the last to have sold and later kicked yourself for doing so. The good news is that 69 307 car can still be bought. They made a ton of 69 Camaros with numerous options. I just found a 60's convertible (I won't mention make or model) for 8k that has new paint is solid no rust arizona car. There are good deals out still, just keep your eyes peeled and look over all the available resources.

yep, we've all been through it. My first was at 15 years old, plain jane 68' Camaro sold it, Second was a 84' Z28 sold it, Third was a 77' Camaro sold it too, Fourth was a 69' SS Convertible kept it, Fifth was a 69' RS SS kept it, Sixth was a 68' Z28 kept it too. As I get older I get smarter.

Owned a 69 SS 350 from 91 to 95
My first camaro was a 70 SS 350 bought new off the showroom floor at Ourisman Chevrolet in Maryland. Traded for a Chevelle wagon in 74 when little ones came along. :)
