Title: 1969 am/fm blue light radio questions

  Hi ,I have an am/fm blue light radio ,also has speakers in the kick panels .. My question is....Is there another control box used with this?  What and where is it mounted? Should it have 2 rear speakers or 1? the car is an 03D build Vannuys car.. Thanks

My understanding of the radio options was that AM-FM would have been either U69 (mono) or U79 (stereo, 4 speakers - 2 in rear package tray and one in each kick panel). You could have also had U80 (2 rear speakers) with U69. If the kick panel speakers are factory originals, looks like your car has U79. If so, this would have included the multiplex amplifier, which was located under the passenger side dash, up above the glovebox liner.

The U80 option has only one speaker in the rear deck not two and one under center of the dash.

 Hi ,thanks for your help the multiplex is above the glove box so I guess its the u79 option....
