Greenville Ohio Craig's list, owner has reproduction trim tag for sale for a 67 Z28 , he is stating that it is reproduction, looks good in pictures , just thought I would bring it up so you could see how long it takes to find it's way on to a real car.

At least he was up front about it. Do you have a link to it?

that should be against the law and GM should step in and stop things like this.

That looks like a trimtag.com repro tag.

'finds it way to a real car'???? or finds it's way to a fake car??

All cars are real cars, fakes are just not the car they claim to be.

All Poodles are dogs but not all dogs are Poodles !! Yeah I wonder why GM don't step in. I mean the hoops the guys had to go thru for a T-shirt then this has GM all over it and fake, fraudulent and reproduction of GM material. Do you think GM gave Trimtags.com permission to make these things? Before I get slammed I know it's not fraud until it's represented in such a way that the buyer thinks it's real.

A few months back I made a good offer on what looked like a real 67 Z28, owner of car accepted my offer. I sent pictures of trim tag to someone whom would know a real from a fake and tag. Tag looked good to that person so I was moving forward with deal. I asked the owner of the car to send me pictures of Vin and hidden Vin's then I would send money, I made the mistake of telling him what I was looking for, after repeated attempts to call and email I never herd back from that person again. My offer I felt was very good for a non matching engine hacked up modified car needing a ton of work! I have never seen car for sale again. So I am always weary of trim tags.
