Title: Charlotte Autofair
Post by: lakeholme on March 02, 2013, 12:06:08 AM
Autofair is April 4-7
AACA National Meet on 6th. I'll be finding a team for unassigned judges at the breakfast.
Judging School on 5th. I'll be one of the guys in a yellow hat greeting.
The Spring Autofair is always the bigger event, and vendors, etc are up so far.
Ya'll come!   ;D

Phillip;
I was at the Spring Auto Fair in '95, real impressed.   My '89  Camaro RS was in the 40 th. Anniversary of Chevy Smallblock display.  Had a great time.

The Speedway is putting on an Elvis Tribute Artist contest during the Autofair.  So, if you're coming for parts etc, you might want to try Thursday or Friday.  Thursday morning is the best time to shop and talk to vendors, etc.

Mike, I missed 95, wasn't living and working in Charlotte then. There will be Camaro and other Chevy clubs here again this year, among over 50 club shows on the weekend.

9000 plus vendors... so far.
Cool but not cold days... maybe a little rain on Thursday. In the 60s on Saturday. Should be good for AACA meet and Camaro clubs, etc on the weekend.

everyone loves that hood I see. These cars you posted pictures of aren't getting judged for correctness I am guessing?

Nope, they are for sale in the car corral. Can you tell the sale colors are red and yellow?
Looking for a great meet tomorrow.

Red sells, even if it isn't the factory color, it seems to always sell a car quicker.

Turned out to be a great meet and Autofair.  Record crowds.
There were some beautiful Camaros in the AACA show.  The 36b class, Hi-Po Chevies had some beautiful Chevelles and Camaros.
(Sorry, no pics....)

Okay, I searched the AACA forum a little deeper and turned up these:

The cross-ram... And the Berger... I know... not a Camaro, but any 427 Chevy is worth seeing, right.  The owner has a letter from Berger about the car's original purchase.
