Hey guys I'm new to CRG but not new to first gen canaros. Can anyone tell me if the 69 camaro X codes in the decoder here on CRG is good infromation, ie non RS = X55 , X77, X44, X66? I'v seen so many X77, X55 RS cars for sale over the years.
-
from my limited experience the decoder is spot on.
-
my understanding is that the x codes have nothing to do with the Ralley Sport option. Rallay Sport was the Z22 option not the x codes.

If you look at the 1969 Norwood Fisher code Interpertation, the right hand column has, without Z21 style trim (or Z22 Rally sport ) below X44, X55, X66, X77. This leads me to think all are non RS cars. Am I mistaken in thinking so? Terry
-
Rally sport included style trim. Without style trim it can not be a rally sport. Style trim does not have to be rally sport. My x11 with style trim is not a rally sport.

Yes that is correct Terry. Z21 style trim is what makes these cars X11,22 and 33. W/O style trim you get the X 44,55,66,77. RS has nothing to do with X- codes.
-
So what your saying is any of the X coded cars can have the Rally Sport option? Terry

so then you could order a X66 with rally sport package? or did you need to order the Z21 option in order to get the Z22 option
-
Based on the above info, ONLY the X11, X22, and X33 could be a RS... based on the fact that all RS have Style Trim...
X44, X55, X66, X77 could NOT be or have RS option, since they do not include style trim.
-
X11, X22, and X33 would have style trim or RS. No way to tell which from the tag.
X44, X55, X66, X77 could *NOT* have style trim or RS.
Tell me how to make that clearer in the table and I will...
-
So what your saying is no car came from the factory coded X44, X55, X66 and X77 with the rally sport option. Terry
-
x44, x55, x66, x77 did not have RS from factory.
None of them came with style trim. style trim is is part of RS.
You can not have RS without style trim.
You can exclude RS based on the trim tag, but you can not confirm it.

Thanks Tom, you've cleared my the muddy waters. Terry

Glad I could help

Tom I have a question for you... I have detailed pictures of my former 69 RS / SS L 78 numbers, early LA car. Plus some pictures from the original owner back in the day. I thought it could be useful for the registry. But I don't know if because I don't own it any more if I'm crossing a line. Terry
-
Pictures are personal property. As long as there isn't personal info divulged.
-
I always enjoy pictures, especially if I can learn something from them. I have no influence on the data base, that is managed by the core group responsible for the site, and I believe mostly handled by Kurt. Post the pics!

if they are your pics then i don't see a problem with it.

All my pictures are 1 MB and I don't know how to reduce them to 150 KB.
-
Use Photobucket or something like that.
-
There is free software you can use to resize your photos. Make sure you keep the perspective the same (look for a check box). If you adjust the horizontal pixels to around 800 you should get it close. I don't like hosting photos on other sites because if that account closes the photos disappear from this site. I use software that came with my HP printer.
-
Or the Resize option in Paint.

Your pics, yours to post.

Ok here is one back in February 1969.

some more around the same time spand.

That's what Jerry MacNeish said when he came out to verify the car for the new owner back in 2009. Kurt, I have about 100 photos inside, out and under for the database, if you want them let me know. Terry
