This pad stamp looks weird to me. Maybe it's just the picture. What do ya'all think? It's actually a fair deal if all checks out ok..... Danny

I'm no expert, but the trim tag looks OK to me. The pad stamp doesn't look right.
Black grill? Black headlight buckets? Ford caution fan sticker?

I'm with you 77thor. Tag looks good but the stamp not so good.
-
tag looks okay the engine stamp was not done with a GM gang holder look at the number one.
-
Rear stripes are all wrong, the emblems are all off. Trim tag looks ok. Terrible pic of the block stamp. I would want to see the trans stamp.
-
The engine stamp (iin the Photo) almost looks as if it were *inked* rather than stamped.. :)
-
Tag looks good.
Engine pad looks good.
Stripes look like crap. Some potential there, looks pretty original, but lots of details to address. The stripes are a big screwup.

Yes I mentioned to the seller that I don't think there has ever been a documented 69' Z/28 with a caution sticker. And that it was for a ford truck. I know they had different stamps on any given day ready to load and punch. That is why there are a couple different "1" stamp fonts on front pads. But doesn't this stamp look funny to anybody. It really must just be the picture, as I have seen some others like this. And it really does look almost like it was painted on. It doesn't show the depth. Maybe it's to close. Anyway I would check trans and rear and a hidden VIN or two before buying it.... BUT it is at this point ok with some issues....
Can someone tell me the rear stripe issue. Is it spacing from rear window??? Or how wide they are?.... Teach me...Danny

Stripes are way too narrow. I mean I don't notice normally, that's how off they are.
I think the pad was wiped with a rag and the oil filled in the #'s.

Should'nt the rear spoiler be the shorter one, like the one I have myself, while this is such an early Z?.....or is it a very late instead?

It's a very late car (09E '69), so the "long" spoiler is correct; the "short" spoiler faded away by March.
-
It is actually a very late 69.

John, we were actually posting at the same time

I dont see it being a fair deal with all the things needing corrected. If so it would have sold by now. Its been on there for months.

X2 Look at the streaks below the numbers and every crack and crevice is filled with it...

X2 With the seller insisting on a $49,895 starting bid, it's barely an auction....

The body number is way off others of the same time frame, Z28's included by almost 10K cars, the build date is correct for the VIN. There must have been something on this car that required holding up the build for almost 2 weeks from similar cars ordered at the same time.
-
I have an 09E Norwood Camaro Z28 which is also yellow with the 714 interior and also a black vinyl top. It is an X33 D80 car.
My body number is 119445. In September of 69 the week of 09E consisted of only 2 days, Monday the 29th and Tuesday the 30th.
Would seem like one of the bodies is out of sequence a bit. Doubt they could build 1900 cars in 2 days.
-
Most 09D built cars body numbers (order umbers) are way higher than either of this camaros, or yours. Maybe it was the 714 interior? /they built 951 cars a day so yes they could built 1900 cars in two days, but 69's were not built in body number order, they were built in VIN order.
-
It's clearly the interior that held up those orders. I see others nearby that are the same way.
