Post by: DT on December 29, 2012, 01:57:35 AM
Anyone know what the correct color/finish is for a 69 Power Steering box ??  I am referring to the top of the box with the 4 bolt heads.  I think the color is gray or silver???  Thx

It's supposed to be natural. I have saw some painted silver or cast blast. I left mine natural and put Boesheild T9 on it.

Cover is natural aluminum, cover bolts are dark (manganese) phosphated, box body is natural cast iron.

You guys beat me to it about the bare aluminum. But I will add that when I was checking mine there is a yellow oval sticker on it.
