I would like to give the car owner a chance to purchase the block before selling same. This 69 Camaro block is standard bore and was purchased out of New Jersey. It has the original stamp decking coded T0221JH / 396-375 HP Camaro L78. The partial VIN number ends in 606111 and the casted date is H 19 8.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave, what's the full suffix code?
By the way, the car's not in the database.

Just updated the listing

Ed,
Its crazy that the casted date is so far back from the pad stamping. Just shows nothing is etched in stone.
-
Thanks Dave.
6 months!! That's EXTREMELY unusual.
(I also modified your title to include the partial VIN per the posting guidelines)

Ed,
I sent a picture of the original pad with the T0221JH stamping to Kurt maybe he can post the picture. I tried and it indicated that the picture was to large.

I would be interested if you still have that 396? What are you asking for it.. I bought a 69 396 SS/RS but someone put a 454 in it..

Sorry , I just noticed that your post was in 2013!!!

Hey 69RS/SS Start a new post introducing yourself and the camaro you purchased . Make sure to include some good pics, we all love to see pics of the first gen Camaros. I read your other post, and there is a section on here for orphans (cars, docs, motors, transmissions, that people are looking to match up).
It is a needle in a haystack, but guys have found there original blocks from time to time. With the continued use of the internet, now a days it may improve your chances of locating it. Start doing searches on the internet with the full VIN, and partial vin. You would be surprised what pops up.
Welcome to the site, and I look forward to seeing pics of your car!
