Title: Quarter Window Well Water Drain
Post by: gkweber3 on November 10, 2012, 04:33:43 PM
I recently got my 68 back from having the quarters replaced. As I am installing the quarter windows, I notice that I do not see any way for water that gets in through the window to drain. Are there supposed to be drain holes in the bottom of this area? If so, does any one have a photo of what they look like?

Not sure but there is one guy over at TC that fabricated a drain system with pvc tubing that got lots of interest so I suspect the answer is no.

Standing on the outside looking into the quarter area bottom....look a few inches from the front wheel tub and you should see an elongated hole about 1/2" wide punched into the rocker that is towards the inside of the car. That's what my 67 has.

Wasn't that for the addition of drain tubing at the rear window channel corners?
