Guys, after messing around with these for some time this is what I came up with. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Doc.

Looks good... Are you going to put a price on them? ???

Use the reply Danzo. Why 4 separate threads on these?

Kurt was able to merge them into one thread, but yes, please use the "Reply" button next time Doc.
And YES, are you going to start selling them? If so, how much? I need one!!

Count me in too if you are going to sell them.....how much?
-
Guys, I apoligize for the 4 threads. I could not get all the pictures in one thread. Thank you Kurt for fixing that. As far as selling them I would have to see how much interest there is. The cost for each one would be $25.00 plus shipping. What would be the best way to approach this? Put an ad up on Camaros.net? I will wait for feedback.
Thanks, Doc.

Danzo – That certainly sounds like a heck of a deal for original hardware!
While we're on the topic of cables; Do you recall or know what the color scheme is/was for each one of your cables? Seeing how their all different one would think they were designed to be used for different colored interiors. I have the white/parchment interior and both my cables are light gray. I'd be interested to know if there's any correlation.
-
I think we've see various color combinations of cables and ends. I suspect that since it was a little seen commodity part, they used what they had.
-
I should have done a search. This thread pretty much confirms the cables were picked at random. John's Z's green interior has gray straps. If they were chosen to complement the interior my guess is his would have been black; same with the red interiors.
And you are correct; they certainly are inconspicuous… very hard to see behind the seat hinge covers.

Thanks Kurt.

So far only 2 people interested?

Danzo.....there is a market for these, as no one manufactures them at present. Suggest you contact some vendors (i.e. Steves Camaros, Heartbeat, etc.) & offer them a wholesale price. Assume you'll need to send them samples + commit to guaranteed volumes.

When we got our car there was a box of misc. in the trunk. The cable was there and one of the bolts, but no finish washer. The bolts are availabe at Camaro Central. Does anyone have any info on where a finish washer can be found? ???

I need one.

That finish washer looks like a shock washer?

Gave AKM a call today. I referenced their part # G-5376, which turns out to be only the two bolts. I also gave them the GM part numbers I found on another web page.
Sect 11.381
Cable: #7726498
Screw: #8760228
Spacer:(finish washer): #7674659
They could not cross reference anything they had to the spacer and screw number. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ???
