Title: 69 Trunk
Post by: sixt9x33rs on October 18, 2012, 01:10:11 AM
Hi Guys,

Was the spatter paint Sprayed in the trunk prior to the lights and wiring harness being installed? If so then these items should be paint free?

Thank,

Lawrence

So over spray on the lights and wires is factory correct?

I thought Fisher sprayed the trunk during the paint shop phase before going to Chevy.  ???

Nope I was wrong when I posted  this. I was helping another guy at the same time and I had cocktail shakers on my mind. The trim including lights was put on after all the paint work was done. The side marker light holes in the quarters had a piece of cardboard or something held over the hole so spatter paint didn't get around the hole. And to go one further the cocktail shakers were just hanging in the trunk and were not mounted.

That is what I was thinking. The lights and wiring harness should be paint free?

Yup, that's correct - see photos below of my original 02D Norwood car.
