Title: Help me put a value on 68' rs/ss numbers matching unrestored
Post by: sapple89 on September 30, 2012, 04:18:43 AM
1. I need to know what its worth
2. I need someone near nashville to inspect the car.

Matching Numbers 1968 Chevrolet
Camaro RS/SS
This Camaro RS/SS is a rare find. Virtually untouched and in great shape daily driver. Only 33.6k miles! Matching numbers car with 396/325 4speed. Posi, front disc, tic tac clock, speed alarm(rare), console, gauges all in near perfect working order.

Pictures.

It may be partially unrestored however, the bolts holding the fenders on are painted white, it's got chrome front fender stabilizers. Black painted brake booster... I would have a very knowledgeable individual to check the car.

It has repop door panels as well. I'd play on the side of caution with this one. Just a few pictures and a bunch of stuff changed.

Might be helpful sapple89 to place the ebay link.... No pics of any important #'s or expensive to replace original parts if missing. Would for sure have to see the carr in person to really have a worth value. Way too many unanswered questions IMHO.
Welcome aboard sapple89 for joining both here and team camaro!

Yes from a low knowledge guy. There is some things I don't like. Like the heater control panel being all pushed in on the right. I would for sure get some Front pad, Trans and Rear pic's before I did anything. I don't even get excited anymore until I see those. Then I check hidden VIN's. THEN and only then do I begin to further my effort.   Danny

Where are you coming up with "matching numbers" when the owner hasn't posted a single number worthy of this statement ???
Long, long way from virtually untouched!

He's quoting this from the ebay ad Marty and that is why I added the ebay link earlier.

Darn, I missed that one and the other important info in the write up; he's replacing it with an air plane. ;)

Let me approach it from this angle; Sapple89, contact the seller & have him/her send you pics of the engine stamp, trans. stamp, and rear stamp and we can evaluate it all for you here. This is information that should be a given with anyone claiming their First Gen. is a "Numbers" car. We certainly don't need to know all that other stuff. If you have trouble posting the pics, send them to my email and I'll get them on here for you.

Good luck...
