Title: Dumb questions about interior rear side panels...
Post by: Springer Tom on August 28, 2012, 12:56:38 AM
I didn't take my '69 apart so I don't know what missing if anything. Is there anything that attached the rear panel to the car? Right now it just hangs there....are there supposed to be armrests? Hard to believe that the rear seat holds it in by itself..... ???

Nope, just the window crank handle and rear seat hold in the side panel.
I installed an stainless steel #10 oval head screw with a finishing washer in the lower corner to secure the panel.
Seat cushion covered it up.

The welt molding that holds the front part to the door jamb area helps hold it in place too.
