Title: 68 Z28 Carburetor Question
Post by: mos on October 04, 2010, 09:58:04 PM
I currently have a '68 z28 that we are restoring.

I pulled the carb off and  have a couple questions...

The Carb is coded 3910 with a date code 792 (2nd week September '67).
From what I've read it really should be a 4053 for a '68.

I'm trying to understand if it was a common practice for parts like this to slide from on model year to another...Or if it really just doesn't belong with this car.

Thoughts?

Secondly, were the 1st gen Z28 Carbs all Dual feed / Single Pump?

Thanx

Nope, shouldn't be on the car. Esp since yours in later in the year. But worth some $$. :)
