Title: CE888783 short block on ebay
Post by: flyingskibiker on March 17, 2010, 12:23:17 AM
The block casting date is May 21, 1968.  Not sure how long they sat on the shelf.  So, not sure if it's for a '68 or '69 car.  Also could have just put 302 part in it the block...  The crank is a '69 302 crank?  Factory 302 paint stamp?  The pad stamp is a bit crazy...  The number is also for the L6 plant?  Another buyer be aware?

The stamped "CE" number doesn't fit the allocation of the blocks of numbers for any of the engine plants.
