Hi, I am new to the forum, it looks like a lot of great information. I am
just starting to restore our 1967 convertible and was wondering if anyone has
tried either rust removal product below with success.

Thanks for any input.

That safest rust remover has been recommended by a lot of people on Team Camaro and by some on here. The people that use it swear by it. I haven't used either one.

What are you wanting to use it on/for??

I am working in the rear of the car. There is rust through in the rear quarter panels that I have
cut out an will replace. The same with the outer wheel wells. There is surface rust under and around the gas tank
area or the whole underside of the car. I was thinking of sand blasting the underside of the car. I have seen cars derusted using these products with a pump and pool type set-up to recycle the fluid. I was wondering which way may be better.

If you have the ability/availability to sand blast, I would choose that over a chemical that you may not get completely removed/neutralized.

Really depends on if its just a driver or are you restoring the car....
Surface rust can be converted to oxide with products like 'Rust Oleum Rust Restorer', you can get it at home depot. If you are restoring the car then I would go the sand blast route.
