Title: RE: Some Great Camaro Wins At the Indy NHRA US Nationals
Post by: Jerry@CHP on September 04, 2009, 01:55:16 PM
Just a heads up that I got to see some exciting class elimininations in NHRA's Stock Eliminator. Two of the best runs offs were B/SA and D/S, in the battle of the 1967 Z28's and L78's.  Underdog, Ben Wenzel defeated John Duzac for the D/S class win with a .002 reaction time and a 10.74 ET over Duzac's 10.71.  I got some great photos.

And the other big exciting win was the B/Stock Automatic class.  They had 16 cars in this class with Fords, Chryslers and Chevrolets. This is usually one of the most populated classes in Stock Eliminator.  In the end it was east coast vs west coast and both cars were 1969 L78 Camaros.  Jim Beaudreu won with a hole shot .013 light to CA's Jimmy DeFrank's .050 light.  ETs were a 10.23 to a 10.28.  This was the last run of the day and very exciting to watch in person.  Congratulations to both Ben Wenzel and Jim Beaudreu!
