Title: FLOWERED VINYL TOP
Post by: MRPENNYPKR on August 07, 2009, 03:52:11 AM
Does anyone  out there recall a vinyl top offerd on Camaros and Novas imprinted with hippy type flowers?  My dad was a GM at a Chevy dealership and I clearly remember seeing flowered tops on cars in the showroom.  I was around 16 at the time but I think it was a first gen Camaro or possibly a Nova.  I am sure it was a factory option but I may be off on the year.  It may have been early 70's???  I have never seen one since.
Thanks, Tony

Yes, there were a few "mod tops" out there. HERE'S (http://camaropacecars.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2510094833/m/2330062215) a lot more info.

Thanks, Ed.  That is certainly what I remember.  The ones I saw were large flower tops.  A center circle with large pettels... A whole bunch of groovy colors and various sizes on a white background.  Very colorful.  Are there any survivors out there?
