Title: Just acquired a 1967 RS SS
Post by: CL8N on July 24, 2009, 03:23:50 PM: As the title states I have just taken ownership of what is said to be a 1967 RS SS. It was inherited from my brother who had it fully restored. It's extremely clean car. I will try to post pictures soon. I'm new to this forum and to this platform so I was hoping you guys could lend me a hand and decode the VIN for me. ;)

The VIN is 124377N165609

Unfortunately I don't have any of the paper work or anything on the engine or car itself, so I don't know what it orginally was or had or currently has on it. Again, I will try to post pictures up as soon as I can.

from your vin: 124377N165609
1=Chevrolet
2=Camaro
4=V8
37=coupe
7=1967
N=Norwood Ohio Assembly
165609=vin sequence number

You will get more info from the trim tag than the vin.

Post by: RAfbody on July 24, 2009, 04:44:58 PM: The trim tag is on the firewall near the mastercylinder. Post that information or a picture along with the information on the stamp pad of the engine block on the passenger side in front of the cylinder head.
