I have a Muncie M22 transmission; 8N393498 dated P8B22B

Can you post a picture of the VIN and date Larry? There shouldn't be a "B" at the end. Also, how many rings on the input shaft?

Here is a picture. I think it may be an E instead of a B. Also, there is one ring on the input shaft.

Thanks Larry. It's not really a letter at all. It's some kind of character that the factory used for unknown purposes. We've seen several different characters used and it's still a mystery.

(By the way, one ring indicates an M21.)
