Title: RE: 302 City
Post by: Jerry@CHP on March 25, 2009, 03:15:47 AM
Hey Guys,

Here is something that you won't see very often...........three original 302 engines from a '67, '68, and 69 Z28.  Thought this was a cool photo to post here.  One of the 302's made 365 hp with an .040" head gasket.  As you can see, the new hot rod is apart.

It had to be the '68 302 that made the 365hp...    ;)

The 1968 Z28 captured more motorsport's championships (NHRA & SCCA) than '67 and '69..........I rest my case and where I'm leaning.

I still think it is cool that a 67 Z won stock eliminator at Indy in 67 and the fact that Ben is still racing the car.  He is a great guy to talk to  as well.
