Title: Chrome enhancer for instrument cluster/air vents
Post by: dkpilot on January 16, 2009, 05:25:38 PM
Has anyone tried the OEM paints "liquid Foil" from Classic Industries.

Looking to spruce up the chrome trim/lettering on the instrument cluster and air vents. I was going to try the chrome mylar strips, but was looking for something a bit easier.

thanks.

I use silver leaf to touch them up... you'd be hard pressed to tell a difference.
you can buy a kit at Michaels craft stores that uses a felt tip glue pen and put the glue on burnish the leaf on and viola'

I have used the metal AC duct tape and it has worked out terrific.  It takes some time cutting and trimming, but if you have patience, it works pretty well.

Buy a couple of pouncing brushes from the crafts stencil section as well. They work great on the letters to pounce into them and use some light air pressure to blow away the waste...

I found some chrome spray paint, used a foam paint brush...........The lettering and the lines came out looking great.
