Does a 68 have the little rubber flaps on the rear inner rocker panel? All 69 models I have seen have them, but never seen on a 68. Thanks John
-
My early build 68 did.
-
my 67 has them as well.
-
Which ones are you talking about? The ones in the AIM 11-13 B1, page 140? Or are you talking about the ones on the subframe? I have both on my 05D.
-
My early '68 does.

Neither - the flaps are at the rear of the rocker, in the front of the rear wheel opening; they were installed by Fisher Body, so they don't show in the Assembly Manual.

My 12D 68 has them. Rectangular rubber flapper that covers the hole where the water drains out from the cowl panel. I believe ALL year Camaros have them....at least first & second Gen, never owned any newer than that! It was called Air Dry or flow through rocker system or something like that-designed to vent pressurized air from the cowl panel down through the rockers and out that hole there by drying out any moisture that has accumulated in them. If your rockers rotted out, it was because that hole was plugged.

John, I do not recall ever seeing a 67-69 without them. Our 01B has them and they are re-installed as they were in great shape with the part # very evident.

Are we talking about these. This is part of my pile of goodies to get rid of... Sure are some expensive little suckers. Danny
-
I believe that's what they are talking about Danny. That's the only one that goes in the back of the rocker.

Yep, my '68's and '67's Wife owned had them. Hindsight here, I should have kept them to sell later as I could have almost retired. I pulled them out to let the debris drain out and not collect.
